Yesterday I received the proof copy of the hardcover version of Look at That!- Second Edition, and if I do say so myself…it is GORGEOUS!
Here are the details:
On Wednesday June 5th, the eBook will be available. If you pre-ordered your copy, you will receive a notice via email at 12:01 a.m. that day saying you can now download your copy.
The price for the eBook version will remain at $2.99 until Friday evening, June 7th, at 6pm. Thereafter the eBook will be back to the regular price of $9.99. This special discount has been offered to you, my blog followers, and my launch team, in hopes that it will inspire you to write an honest review and submit it to Amazon at your earliest convenience. (See instructions on how to craft and upload your review here. The most important thing to remember when writing your review is to never, ever mention you know me personally, that we have met, we are friends, relatives, or even barely acquainted! That will automatically make Amazon reject your review. In summary, make the review about the book, not me. Makes sense.)
On Saturday June 8th, the paperback and hardcover versions will be available to the world.
Here’s the inside scoop on the two hardcopy versions, which actually surprised me:
I received the proof of the paperback about a week ago and loved it. The cover is gorgeous, the colorful green spine-wrap and blue cloud saying, “Second Edition” make this book stand out beautifully from the original edition of Look at That!
But yesterday when I received the hardcover version, I swooned. I literally felt a heart-jolt. The Amazon shipping box had felt heavy, but I assumed it was all the extra packing material. After opening the box, reaching in, and grasping the book itself, I realized, no, the book is heavy. Substantial.
I heard Paul Hogan’s Crocodile Dundee voice say, “THIS is a book.”
It looks and feels like an actual textbook, a teaching tool to be taken seriously but at your own pace, as it gently offers an abundance of information and encouragement. Best of all, it is visually refreshing: readable for all, with generous white space and font sizes. Open and accessible, just like a good friend should be.
I get it. The hardcover version at $35 may feel like an investment. But honestly, I don’t think you’ll regret it.
Here’s a bit of curious trivia:
Look at That! Original Edition paperback: 72 pages – 4.2 oz. – 119 grams
Look at That! Second Edition paperback: 140 pages. – 7.3 oz. – 207 grams
Look at That! Second Edition HARDCOVER: 140 pages – 11.6 oz. – 329 grams
So Look at That! 2.0 Hardcover is twice as long, almost three times as hefty as the original version, and wow, does it feel good n your hands.
Okay, enough. You have your marching orders:
1- Get ready to LOVE your pre-ordered eBook when it is delivered just after midnight, Wednesday June 5th.
2- If you haven’t done so already, order your eBook copy by Friday June 7th, 6pm, if you want to take advantage of the discounted price of $2.99.
3- Mark your calendar to order your paperback or hardcover copies on Saturday June 8th.
Prepare to be delighted. And remember, no matter when you purchase your copy, it’s never too late to upload a review to Amazon!
